While rehabbing a shoulder injury, Brennan Boesch is released to make room on the Yankees major league roster for an infield replacement for the reinjured Derek Jeter. Before being sidelined, Boesch was on his way to Career Bests. In the month before his injury, Boesch was on a tear hitting .438 BA, .688 slugging %, 1.125 OPS, including two clutch game-winning hits.
