Brennan Boesch of the Salt Lake Bees finished the season with a .332 batting average earning him the honors as the 2014 Pacific Coast League Batting Champion, the league officially announced today.
Boesch collected 124 hits in 374 at-bats this season with the Bees. The 29-year-old produced the fifth-most extra-base hits in the league with 57, which included seven triples, 25 doubles, and 25 home runs.
The All-PCL designated hitter totaled 68 runs scored, 85 RBIs, and 29 walks in 95 games this year in Salt Lake, while also adding a .636 slugging percentage. The Southern California native also spent time this season at the Major League level, compiling four hits in 13 games with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
