Brennan Boesch hit his sixth home run in his last six games as the Bees fell to the Nashville Sounds 7-4 in the opening game of the series Friday night at Smith’s Ballpark. Boesch hit his 12th home run of the season, a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth to close Nashville’s lead to 3-1. The Sounds were able to extend the lead to 7-1 with four combined runs being scored in the fifth and sixth inning. Luis Jimenez hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth picking up his 11th home run of the season. Boesch finished the night 3-for-4 crossing the plate twice and knocking in one.

“(Boesch) put some really good at-bats together tonight,” said Manager Keith Johnson. “With the trade deadline coming up, its a great opportunity for him to move up.”
