EL PASO, Texas

With a double and finishing the season with one of the longest home runs ever hit here, Brennan Boesch took the Pacific Coast League batting title, with a league-leading batting average of .332. Boesch also finished as the runaway league leader in slugging percentage, setting a franchise record at .636; finished first in OPS (On-Base plus Slugging %) at 1.017; and with more than 100 fewer at-bats than other league leaders due to his Major League call-ups, Brennan’s totals still placed him near the top in almost every major offensive category, including home runs (25), doubles (25), triples (7), RBI’s (85), Total Bases (238) and On Base % (.381).
